Before Slick Finish had a studio, it had a trunk full of detailing supplies and a 2017 Dodge Challenger.
Cameron Choulagh started Slick Finish in 2017 by taking the work directly to the customer. He drove from house to house, unpacked his equipment in driveways and treated every vehicle like it could become the one that opened the next door. There was no polished lobby, dedicated install bay or established name—only a commitment to leave each car better than he found it.
One customer became another. Driveways became referrals, and the reputation grew through consistency. In 2019, Cameron moved Slick Finish into its first shop in Sterling Heights. For the next four years, the business grew beyond its mobile-detailing beginning, building stronger processes, a loyal customer base and the confidence to take on more ambitious work.
In 2023, Slick Finish moved to Troy, Michigan—the next chapter in a vision that had become much larger than cleaning cars. Today, the shop brings detailing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, tint, PPF, vinyl wraps, starlight headliners and custom interiors together as one complete automotive detailing, protections and customizations experience.
