Correction removes a controlled amount of damaged clear coat to level eligible defects. That is why every vehicle starts with inspection and a test spot: the best result is the most improvement the paint can safely support—not an unrealistic percentage promised before we see the car.
The cloudy spiderweb effect.
Usually the biggest visual improvement. Proper polishing reduces the circular wash marks that scatter light and mute the paint.
Bring the color back into focus.
Machine polishing can restore depth and reflection where weathering, poor previous polishing or surface oxidation has dulled the finish.
Depth determines the outcome.
Mineral deposits and light etching may correct well; deeper chemical etching may only improve. Inspection tells us how aggressive it is safe to be.
Improvement without gambling the clear coat.
Eligible clear-coat scratches can be reduced or removed. Scratches through the paint, chips and failing clear coat require repair—not additional polishing.
